As a member of a research group in support of a potential candidate's run for US President of 2008, I set up this blog in 2006 to journal the various foreign and domestic policy statements. The message has always been the most important. Accordingly, this prospective candidate stepped aside, realizing that Barack Obama will clearly have the most success in putting this message into action. Sadly, as of 2010, he has failed in putting this message into action.
A FORCE FOR GOOD – THE UNITED STATES GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY
All peoples, including Americans, have a vested interest in the health of our planet. Our world is strained by population growth, pollution and increasing consumption of scarce resources. This does not have to be a forecast for doom. I believe it can be a call to cooperative action for all people, and I believe America can take the lead in this endeavor. America needs a president who can inspire its people to take this leadership role. America can become a force for good. Not an oppressively domineering force in the world, but a strong role-model for morality in thought, words and deeds.
I would probably be categorized more of a libertarian than anything else, especially when it comes to foreign affairs. We must get our oily, sticky fingers out of everyone else's business. Let's concentrate on helping ourselves. Lord knows, we need help!
